Best of Both Worlds

Live in the country. Own an established lodge

The Lodge

The lodge has been established for more than 25 years and has a well-deserved 4 Star grading. Ideal for the discerning guest, the lodge is a destination for Gauteng visitors, fly-fishing enthusiasts and international travelers en-route to the game parks. There is luxurious accommodation for up to 23 guests in 2 family houses and six studios suitable for couples.

It is also a popular accommodation and conferencing destination for corporate use and local mines. Stone Manor is the hub with gracious reception rooms.

A recently renovated modern conference facility is equipped with a 86" (2.1m) interactive screen that is superb for  presentations and training and there is a vibey new pub - great for watching sport's events.

The business is not seasonal and there is steady midweek occupancy.

Expansion Potential

A new buyer could continue with the existing operation, as is, without spending a cent. Further opportunity lies in the expansion of the lodge. This could be achieved by building additional accommodation and a wedding venue. The restaurant and pub could be opened to the general public. Picnicking and glamping are also revenue options.

The current owners can offer a take-over period if required and existing staff is available to assist in operations.

The real bonus is that once serviced, the remaining free-hold title stands can be sold to recoup the initial outlay!

Stone Manor & Reception Building

This is the central gathering point for guests. Main building (Stone Manor) includes an elegant lounge/dining area with cathedral ceilings, fully licensed pub with a great vibe and a conference facility seating up to 50 delegates: with an interactive Smart White-Board touch screen. The adjacent free-standing reception building houses the reservations office, staff accommodation with kitchen and ablutions for a manager or management couple.
